Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE)
Statement of Accreditation
The Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). MSCHE is a voluntary, non-governmental, membership association that defines, maintains, and promotes educational excellence across institutions with diverse missions, student populations, and resources. MSCHE conducts accreditation and pre-accreditation (candidacy status) activities for institutions of higher education in Delaware, the District of Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, and any other geographic areas in which the Commission elects to conduct accrediting activities, including the evaluation of distance education and correspondence education programs offered at those institutions. MSCHE accredits institutions across the United States as well as globally (MSCHE, 2021).

Ƶ Carolina and the Middle States Self-Study Process
In the fall of 2021, the Ƶ Carolina campus began the self-study process in preparation for reaccreditation, visit and evaluation by MSCHE in the Spring of 2024. The campus Chancellor, Dr. Félix Huertas appointed Dr. Zoé Santiago, faculty of the Academic Division of Business, Tourism, and Entrepreneurship, and Dr. Philip Murray, Dean of Academic Affairs, as Self-Study Chair and Co-Chair, respectively.

Submit Third Party Comments
The Universidad Ana G. Méndez, Carolina Campus (UAGM-CC) is undergoing the review cycle for its reaffirmation of accreditation by the Middle States Commission of Higher Education (MSCHE or Commission). There is a scheduled MSCHE site visit for April 8 to 10, 2024.
As required by the Commission, UAGM-CC informs that MSCHE makes available the opportunity to submit Third Party Comments regarding the institution’s compliance with standards for accreditation, requirements of affiliation, policies, and procedures, and applicable federal regulatory requirements in accordance with the Commission’s Third-Party Comments for Institutions Under Review Policy. Comments must be sent, in English, to MSCHE before the scheduled site visit.
